The Arctic Monkeys

September 16, 2009. I saw them at the Fox Theater and wow was it amazing!
I didn't bring a camera, but I was able to take a few very quality photos with my phone.

The Like opened up for them, they were pretty bad. Other than all of their songs sounding very similar, every single lyric was just a day to day term or a common expression of life lessons. "Never going back and forth, only going forward" repeated 10 times each chorus, and that is a Like song. Even though I am not a huge fan, it was pretty cool when we met them after the show and the drummer said she liked my shirt.

We met some cool people at the concert, stared at the beautiful Alex Turner, and soaked up the amazing music. It was a fabulous night.

Bob Dyaln

I saw Bob Dylan over the summer. August 15, 2009.

We got free tickets, which is always lovely.

The Line-up was Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and then Bob Dylan.

Here are a few photos, I couldn't keep my hands steady so they are poor quality, and the fact that they were zoomed in.

During the show, as we were waiting for Bob Dylan to come on, there were these two drunk (and who knows what else) ladies in their 50s, dancing and falling over. One yelled, "Yeah Neil Young!!!!!" and the other said, "Neil Young? Neil Young's not playing tonight. Bob Dylan." Or something. I found it amusing. How can you not know the main act of a three person gig? No matter how gone you are.
