The Dead Weather

I found a $10 iTunes gift card, which made me pretty happy. But I really don't use iTunes that much. I prefer Amoeba (local record store).

Jack White sarted yet another band, The Dead Weather. They are pretty good. I got a free song through SPIN magazine.

Allison Mosshart from the Kills is the vocalist.

Dean Fertita from Queen of the Stone Age is the guitarist.

Jack Lawrence from The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes is the bassist.

And Jack White does drums and vocals.

I missed Jenny Lewis last night and the night before at the Fillmore. I was supposed to go but could not find anyone to go with. What a shame. Maybe I will go to BFD then and have more money to buy a band merchandise, like a nice Yeah Yeah Yeahs shirt. Or Crystal Castles. I am running out of clothes that I actually like to wear. I wish I would have had a birthday party this year so I could have added to my LP and CD collection. (It was months ago, by the way.) I mean, what else would people have bought me besides music? I did get a few band tees, but I'm not complaining, they were pretty tight:

Maybe next year I will have a party. Although it was worth seeing Lily Allen this year for my birthday.
